Testing Services
GYTech offers NVMe SSD Testing Services as an independent 3rd party on our proprietary PyNVMe3 testing platform, same as that used by all NAND vendors & most SSD Manufacturers. The testing is done at our Test Lab in Singapore, at a room temperature of 25 deg C, with humidity maintained between 60% – 80%. We do high heat storage at an external facility with heat chambers. Currently, we have the capacity to test 30 samples on a monthly basis.
Our tests are designed for verifying the Quality of Design, and encompass four (4) Test Phases (TP), with more than 1000 test cases:
- TP1: Protocol tests for Regression of known failures & Conformance to Industry standards
- TP2: Benchmark tests on performance & power usage at various conditions, including low power & Power cycling (Clean & Dirty)
- TP3: Endurance & Reliability tests, where the SSD is aged progressively to End-of-Life
- TP4: Data Retention tests after the SSD has been Aged under TP3 testingÂ

Tests are done on our existing Hardware setup on sample units provided by Customer. We keep one sample (Golden sample) as reference in case any results need to be re-validated. We do not do high volume testing for Reliability validation, or Quality Assurance for Manufacturing.
We have a fast turn-around time of 24 hours for TP1 & TP2 testing and one to two months for TP3 testing, depending on the performance of the device under test (DUT).  The minimum period for TP4 testing is two months (Power OFF storage period), but it can vary depending on the Customer’s requirements.
Our test scripts are very thorough, having been tested and fine-tuned on many QLC SSD products. We are able to develop customized test scripts in a matter of days, once we understand the customer’s requirements.
We developed PyNVMe3, and have extensive experience with bug resolutions on a variety of combinations of Controllers & NAND. We have expertise to analyse results and advise customers on how best to resolve bugs to achieve their desired Design Quality. We understand the need for FW upgrades and will support customers do FW Regression tests throughout the product life cycle.
